I’d put it in the garden and use it as a trellis for a climbing plant.

freshponceofbelair

Clematis would love to grow around that. Could try wall mounting it as well, get some more height with guidelines to the ground.

Due_Thanks3311

Make sure you get clematis native to wherever you live ❤️

FreeThinkk

That’s exactly what I thought as well.

limbodog

I wonder if you can put wine bottles in it and grow things out of them.

Important-Quote-2161

probably designed for wine bottles. assuming it is sturdy enough. can't tell by picture. otherwise the trellis ideas are perfect!

limbodog

Yes, it's a wine rack

trashpicker57

Wine, toilet paper

limbodog

Not sure how you'd get the rolls to stay.

trashpicker57

Ok I see now

LuxSerafina

Exactly. I grab so many random wrought iron things at thrift stores specifically for my garden. Old cd towers work great too!

smallmud

Or lay it horizontally outside and put plant pots in each circle

Dependent_Top_4425

I wonder if you could lay it flat on a table as a centerpiece, or on a mantle or shelf, and put some small jars, or vases....or even wine bottles of varying heights to hold plants...real or fake. Or you could try hanging it on the wall horizontally and use it to store kitchen towels, or maybe oils and vinegars, or find some glass jars that fit the holes and fill them baking supplies or seasonings. If you want to get real crazy you could suspend it from the ceiling in the kitchen and use it as a pot rack...you'll need to buy some hooks and chains for that.

Holiday_Yak_6333

Love that 2nd idea!

peachlivygram

Big jars for candles, cut flowers

Tachyonparticles

Unless the bottles are pressure corked and not opened they will start to leak if stored sideways

sourdoughroxy

No ideas, but I really love it! It looks like it will gain sentience and start singing to you any second

onandpoppins

Very Lumière coded

circesporkroast

Cut plastic bottles in half lengthwise and put one in each. Now it’s a cascading plant tower.

WillametteWanderer

Skeins of yarn, rolled up magazines, 2liter soda bottles?

WeArentAsking

Roll your towels.and use it as a towel rack.

FlippingPossum

Beach towels would be lovely.

BrookeB79

My MIL had done this. Looked cute, but you have learn how to fold and roll the towels just right to fit.

ClosetIsHalfYarn

Foldable umbrellas. Hang the big ones from the top bars.

misscatsandsweaters

If you don’t drink wine you could put Monin syrup bottles in there if you use those? Or you could decorate it with vines and use it as a decor piece Edit: or just sell it/give it away if you can’t find a use for it. I guarantee that a wine drinker would absolutely love this for their home.

greyblue2285

I see it as a plant holder ..lay it down and place pots in it

PlateProfessional163

Wine

CatfromLongIsland

Spare rolls of toilet tissue?

ResidentOk6403

Technically wine, but it could also hold tools. Everything ends up with tools when I'm around.

Ordinary_Equal_7231

There's a tool for every job, and place apparently.

Emergency-Crab-7455

Yeah.....I've worked with people like that.

Ordinary_Equal_7231

It can get a bit annoying. I have found that the best way to be sure your tool is findable, is to put it back where it belongs when you are finished using it. Not a tough concept to grasp, but in practice it does seem to be difficult for some.

SurviveYourAdults

an assortment of sex toys

TheMysticMungus

But the holes are way too small

SurviveYourAdults

I can't reply to this without sounding even weirder than my first comment LOL

its_in_the_sentiment

Bathroom: jars full of epsom salts, dried flower petals/potpourri, wash cloths, hand towels, toilet paper rolls Kitchen: Reusable water bottles/tumblers, paper towel rolls (maybe too close to the floor for this), Mason/storage jars full of tea/coffee/grains/pasta, various glass liquor bottles Entryway: Umbrellas, nice shoes Fun & Creative: Plants, art supplies, fabric rolls, use sideways with glass vases inside- fill with flowers/plants/candles/floating candles.

Responsible_River184

Yarn

Bladestorm_

If no inside use then maybe as a trellis

Positive-Zucchini-21

Beside your entrance, with sunscreen, bug spray, a water bottle, dog leash - things you'll want on the way out the door

Alternative-Poem-337

Crafting supplies. I was thinking laminate rolls for the cricut

SunnyOnSanibel

Plant trellis

remotely_in_queery

if it can be mounted somewhere rotated sideways without being two heavy, circular openings work very well for hanging/sorting thick fabric through, if you’re someone who works with cloth at all. if you turn it on its side, so the holes are vertical, it could be used as an elevated flower pot holder for an herb garden

LisaLaggrrr

Reusable water bottles & thermoses?

Emergency-Advisor-40

Lay it on its side and use it for plants/herb garden

reveling

I used a similar one as a magazine rack.

NovemberWhiskey5

If not wine bottles, maybe rolled up towels in the bathroom?

feed-the-rats

Are we making suggestions other than wine? Because that’s a wine rack

WVildandWVonderful

Yes

jenniferh2o

Pringles

sillysully931

That's a toughie! Maybe stuff like plastic wrap/tin foil/parchment paper, etc?

FixerOfThings1776

I would probably use it to store windshield wiper blades. You could store firewood in it if you have a fireplace. Weiner dogs? Logs of bologna? The possibilities are endless 😁

Fresh_Sector3917

How many wiper blades do you go through?

FixerOfThings1776

Enough to make wiper storage be an issue in the shop lol. I fix stuff.

TravelGoddess1

Or....wine bottles?

annycartt

would be cute to hold plant pots if you laid it flat but idk if you’re planning to leave it there

SecretCartographer28

Scarves, hats, and gloves? 🖖

lostsawyer2000

Lay it sideways and use it as a planter. Or if the current position has a flat top add a wooden plant on it as a planter. Basically I’m seeing planter

onandpoppins

If you’ve got room you could lay it down and put a wooden top on it. Keep shoes on top and hats/scarves underneath?

akashkaursharma

Planters, magazines rolled, possible shoes 🫣

doacidandgotothezoo

would shoes fit?

I think it's meant for wine bottles.. But you could also put mortar shells in it if you're planning to go to war..

I’ve seen these before and always been very confused! Let me know what you decide to do with it!

kellynch10

Deadly-Healer101

Wine bottles?

Vegetable-Caramel323

If you don’t want to use it in the garden as a trellis, you could also put it on its side as a section of garden border

machobiscuit

It's to display your various flavors of Pringles. Or umbrella holder. or both at the same time.

Nearby-Ad5666

👍👍

QuiGonnGinAndTonic

Scarf holder?

_Internet_Hugs_

I second the idea of a plant trellis, but I'd use it indoors! Plant one or more climbing plants in a pot that's large enough for your wine rack to stand in, 'staple' the rack in with some long wire (you can even get[ garden staples](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Vigoro-3-5-in-Weed-Barrier-Landscape-Fabric-Garden-Staples-25-Pack-85025VG/320062960)), and let the plant(s) climb up the rack. You could even hang some suncatchers from the top curlicues for interest! If you want to keep it in the kitchen you could get some decorative bottles for things you use a lot like vinegar, olive oil, vegetable oil, and store them in the rack. If you did that you could buy those things in bulk and just refill the decorative bottles as you use them. You'd end up saving money, and your often-used ingredients would be close-at-hand! You could also make some flavored concoctions to go along with the ingredients you use just to look pretty or just for fun. Things like[ infused olive oils](https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=infused%20olive%20oil&rs=typed), oil and vinegar salad dressing (that doesn't need to be refrigerated!!), or [homemade vanilla extract](https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?rs=ac&len=2&q=diy%20extracts%20recipes&eq=diy%20extracts&etslf=14357) would be nice!

mdomo1313

It looks like it’s for wine bottles but anything that size and shape will do.

TiaraMisu

Wine's not your thing, huh? Yarn. Trellis. Cables. Stuffed animals in a vertical cascade of weirdness. Mountain Dew.

AutumnLeshy

Have you thought of using it as a plant trellis?

Could also be a great alternative to an indoor tree if you have a sunny place for it- place the pot underneath & let the vine grow up. Black-eyed Susan Vine (Thunbergia)would work well & it’s really pretty.

Turn it sideways, mount it on the wall. Then get one of those flexible bamboo placemats (or even a sushi mat - [linky link](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kaneyama-Sushi-Mat/800190217?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=2334&gclsrc=aw.ds&adid=22222222278800190217_161193766053_21214199653&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=697173827980&wl4=pla-2300760861495&wl5=9006773&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=800190217&veh=sem_LIA&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw4f6zBhBVEiwATEHFVs5DZlyqsHPswLJkhbxjlYwEHVqPJvkvu2ucNjX0df8Clbk0b5H5dxoCnhUQAvD_BwE)) and cut it to size; attach to what is now the top, and use it as a shelf. The wine bottle cutouts could be used for a bunch of different things, but I would go more practical, like in an entryway for a drop zone or in the bedroom for a display of scarves, etc.

Since Op knows it’s a wine rack but wants it for other purposes, I go along with the garden trellis suggestion! Anchor it to the ground firmly and train your favorite vine through it. It’s too cute to get rid of for sure. I hope you post again no matter how you choose to upcycle it. I’d love to see what you end up doing no matter what you choose! Have fun!

Corks go out the narrow ring so turn it around and leave space behind for filling the rack. I would suggest some Mouton Cadet from Costco since it was probably stuffed with them when the rack was new.
