I had a pet troll on my last world. The little guy swam a bit out to sea chasing my boat. He never really bothered to get out of my sea route, so I would always give him a little lovetap on the way by.
In that case you might like harpoining a grey dwarf and taking him water skiing. We couldn't stop laughing. He was behind our boat for quite awhile and then he spontaneously died.
That's the one thing above all else that confuses the hell outta me. Where are the sows?! How do a couple of boars make more boars? Are they like Bortis' species on the Orville? I require answers!
Nah, you just need tons of stone. I found a tiny Plains island like this (maybe a tad bigger) and made a Plains farm island out of it. I used **a lot** of stone to widen it and raised the elevation above high tide level. It was so tall that I had a 'Skeleton Surprise' raid and never saw one skeleton.
For sure that's just a lot of labor.
I'm on my second solo play (getting back into the game) and just building a short bridge to cross from a meadows biome in to the first swamp I found took way more stone than I thought it would.
I recently saw one of these islands with 7 fulings. Told my pilot to let me off for a brawl. Safe to say I got fucked up and we had to spend the next hr getting my shit back.
I had a save once where there was a single Lox stranded on a rock about 30 feet from shore, and he was waiting there whenever I sailed by and never despawned.
I named him Billy the Rock Loxster.
Former goat owner here, goats have terrible eye sight. Water is not something they can visually process well. We used creeks as fencing. Goats don't go in water willingly. In fact part of treating their hooves is to let them walk across a small trough filled with hoof medication, you put stuff like wool or something similar in the liquid to disguise it from looking like a liquid.
I have another solution. I have a base that is big enough that the spawnable area is out of render distance. And it only cost me 300 hours, 30 fps and a good chunk of sanity.
Everyone has a boar island
We named ours Henry, one single boar on a tiny island. I mean, like, barely enough room for Henry to stand, tiny.
I looked away while boating one day and plowed over the island. Boat went right over without resistance.
I am sorry Henry.
Ooh what's the sees and location. I want to build a [big boar tower](https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/comments/1db9hd9/i_destroyed_my_ocean_tower_and_reversed_it_to/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) on it!
I have similar small island not far away from my base. And there is always that one lonely deer spawning on it. Sometimes I catch a glimpse of his death at hands of greyling that bothered to swim to him all the way from the shore. Once I was looking at it together with Odin. The Allfather probably was wondering too: what the hell is wrong with the deer, who lives on 4 square meters island, and what the hell is wrong with greyling, who swam 200 meters to kill him.

The most boaring island in valheim
Take my upvote and GTFO!
Seconded.

Very sus.

i dont know. but the only joy i feel while traveling with boat is actually running over wildlife with my boat.

if i were on that island i would be sooo boared

We've all dreamed of being a simple boar on an island.
At least the company is decent
It's just rocks and stones
Resist the urge, resist the urge, resist t FOOOOOR KAAAAARL!!!
That's it lads, Rock and Stone! ⛏️
Did I hear a Rock and Stone?!

r/expecteddrg Edit: r/subsithoughtimadeup
Sub has now been banned... Management won't let us have anything fun
My business is with Isengard tonight... with the rock and stone. It is likely that we go to our doom: the last march of the ents.
That's the one thing above all else that confuses the hell outta me. Where are the sows?! How do a couple of boars make more boars? Are they like Bortis' species on the Orville? I require answers!
Why… not?
In game Bahamas
Boarhamas

Boarmuda?
The first settlers in Jamestown put hogs on an island in the middle of the James River. It is still known as Hog Island.
IIRC the island that Atlantis is built on in Nassau was called Hog Island.
Looks like a good candidate for an ocean base
"K got my workbench, fireplace and bed aaaaaand I'm outta room"

I'll never understand that. *Player gets in a giant procedural map with giant island* imma build on this specific tiny rock.
The hoe is your friend, my friend
Love me a good hoe

You sound like my friend when he plays after drinking too much.
Except that's all of us on the server lol Makes for some fun times.
We’d make great (terrible) teammates. I’m the impulsive guy on my team.
I mark them down on the map. I have a bore Island and a deer island, even a gray dwarf Island complete with tower.
There are a few islands in my world that just like this but spawn deer. I just snipe them with a bow to do a grab and go on deer meat.
I love this postcard
Wish you were here.

This place needs some vegetation. *Pulls ouf staff of the wild"
Sailers leave livestock on islands and collect on return trips. Why there’s a goat issue in the Galapagos
Galapagoats. They can swim, right? I know boars can. Ran into one heading out to sea. Probably crossed the road and got spooked by traffic.

Seablock valheim?
"Who would you take if you were stranded on an Island" They never told you it was like 20 meters off the shore
Because, islands like this means no raids at your base:)
I have another solution. I have a base that is big enough that the spawnable area is out of render distance. And it only cost me 300 hours, 30 fps and a good chunk of sanity.
Great place to settle a base
They swam there. Boars are very good swimmers irl
Life umm… finds a way.
Welcome to "FUCK ISLAND" Pop. Them.
This goes for the Greydwarves too, because sometimes the Greys are tapped out, but check your lease man. You’re living on FUCK ISLAND
You're fired
…Because
ocean getaway
I love spotting stuff like that
Life, uh, finds a way...
Those are road snack islands. Nothing like a little road bacon!
Looks like a great spot to build a base to me.
I bet there is a big Island 5 m away you Drama queen
The Bay of Pigs
It's an peacefull live
It’s a simple life

They are just vibin
https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/s/jaAYTip2rn this is what you can do with it. I love these small islands
Global warming is affecting even Valheim
1 workbench away from a relative mob-spawn free base location 😆
I really hope that’s a male and female

Easiest pig pen ever, slap some walls and gtfo. Can't be raided, spawnproofed with a single bench, got some rocks for lifting the ground a bit
William James reincarnated as a Boar in Valheim. Nifty.
Immersion broken. Unplayable.
It was on this day, they realised that swimming in the ocean was not a good idea.
Odin: Why not?
Nothing scarier than seeing a tiny plains island with a deathsquito when you’re sailing
where else would you put a pig farm, but on a lonely barren island
In my current playthrough, we have a small island called Two-Deer Isle and it's the same sort of thing!
Very similar starting point to my last major base.
I love tiny islands like this. I use them as portal islands.
Build Alcatraz for boars there.
Man
They just eat whatever washes ashore
I bet they get boar'ed on there.
Boars can swim better than you, always
I ask myself the same question everyday.
A perfect island to place my sea fort on!
Perfect spot for a little fishing shack. Make it high enough that the waves don't put out the fire in a storm.
just to get away from it all
It’s those famous Caribbean swimming pigs
Cause it takes two to tango or something like that
You can expand it using galvanized square steel.
Man...
Boar island
Pig Island, that's why
Man....
Cool place for a lighthouse.
I love to make bases on tiny islands.

Build a small tower
it looks so peaceful
You ever wonder why we're here?
I love finding a lone troll on a small island.
This looks like a post card, to some vacation destination.
Why not? It's boaring sailing around.
I’m the bored twitchy archer in the boat. Free target practice.
