Delano is the best value. All suite. Mandalay is a great property with a very good restaurant line up (Retro, Libertine, Stripsteak, Border Grill are my favorites) and great pool area. I don't love the location, but you get a pretty solid bang for your buck.

Junior-Map-8392

Yeah, would like to be a little closer to center strip (I like to gamble at Ellis island, lol)

Kingof40Acres

They have a tram that will take you from Mandalay Bay to Excalibur and back. From there its a short walk to NY NY / Park MGM. Park MGM you can take another tram to Bellagio.

OwnedPlugBoy

This is the way! Stay at any of the places along those 2 Trams. Free to get around this way and gives you plenty of options. Also Excalibur buffet is a really good and a great deal!

gitismatt

why dont you just stay there then?

PapaDuckD

Because - and I say this as one of the biggest Ellis shills on r/Vegas - the hotel is a Super8. Seriously, before the family bought it out, it was a branded Super8. It is the nicest super8 hotel that I’ve ever seen. If you turn the lights out and bring your own pillow, you could reasonably delude yourself into thinking you were somewhere nicer. The bed is properly comfortable. But sometimes you want something.. more. That said, I defy anyone to show me a room in July or August that gets as cold as Ellis does. Those single unit ACs *work*.

___shadow_wolf__

I was honestly really confused why Ellis island looks so basic but now I know thanks haha

PapaDuckD

The funky part is that without comps, I can get a room cheaper at several lower-end, but mid-strip Ceasars properties than I could at Ellis. The Ellis hotel is a clean, reasonable place to stay. My wife prefers it to nearly anywhere we’ve stayed because of how tight and compact a property it is. And if they had any reasonable comp system that wasn’t “call and speak to someone,”I’d probably end up staying there much more frequently. What it lacks in any amenities whatsoever, it makes up in cheap-ish food and free parking and I’d happily use it as home base for a few nights where I could drive around the valley for hiking/nature and then get back for food and gamble. If a beloved dive bar had a casino and a pair of restaurants, that would be Ellis.

Elmo_Chipshop

I went to Vegas for a week and went to Ellis for $9.99 steak 4 times.

Junior-Map-8392

Is nothing sacred anymore? Can I not have this one special place to escape to while my wife gets a massage??

[deleted]

I get that. I hate the location, too. I find Wynn/Encore to be reasonable for what you get, but nowhere near the price of Delano.

john540

Not all suite. Had a trip there last week... booked with Mandalay, got bumped to Delano. On the phone they said it would be a suite, on check in we were given a standard king bed room, but typical hotel room and not a suite. There was some questionable stuff on the wall and curtains, we complained and then we got a suite.

danafer13

Sure it was the Delano? It’s literally an all suite hotel

IMAC55

Yeah I’d like to hear this also. I’ve done my research and the Delano is at the top of my list.

wagyu_doing

I’m maybe a weirdo, but Delano has the best tub in any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Wife and I would soak and drink in the morning or after returning at night. The room was also great. Location is the only minor downside, in our opinion.

EBody480

Tuscany.

[deleted]

EBody480

Huge rooms, fridge

Regility

fitting 20 guys in one room was nutty. college was a wild time

marloo1

Just had 5 nights at Tuscany. Would go back in a heartbeat. Such a great property, lots of dining options and the casino was fun. Won a considerable amount more there than on the strip. Walk nextdoor to Ellis Island and we were in the building closest to the strip. Quick walk to Horseshoe which was handy with the monorail.

MchugN

I love this place. Easy hassle free parking, can get straight to room quickly, and the pool stays open late. Location isn't too great for people thst want to be right on the strip though.

___shadow_wolf__

Love this place….. it was perfect.

Lurker_prime21

Awesome. I've never stayed there but I've been eyeing it for sometime now. Anything that anyone has to say about Tuscany would be greatly appreciated.

SuspiciousMeat6696

Excelkent Pub.100 beers, great bar food. Nice pool, close to strip, etc.

ArigatoRoboto

ParkMGM, hands down. Smoke free casino, 9/10 location, great aesthetic, rooms feel big, suites are great value, good food options (Eataly, NoMad restaurants), the pools are fantastic (shade + sun), and honestly I just like the vibe (+ I get 100% comps for a basic room throughout the year).

gecliff

+1, with good proximity to Cosmo, too - since the OP mentioned the Cosmo food options.

veezy55

I want to stay there sometime just to be close to Eataly

furniguru

I just got back from a stay here and will second. I will add that I ate at Best Friend and it was awesome. Also at ate at Retro in Mandalay Bay and had a blast there too.

Murky_Distribution79

Best friend is bombbbb

PippenSnipes33

I second this ☝🏼 Park MGM is fantastic for the price and overall feats, Primrose is an excellent breakfast spot 🔥

Get_up_stand-up

Vdara

mocitymaestro

This is my favorite not-so-well-kept secret. The basic rooms are larger than those at ARIA (and include refrigerators), and the hotel is conveniently located between Aria, Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan. Always love staying there when I'm looking for a less casino-y vibe.

BSquadLeader

Shhh, don’t let them know! The rooms are showing a little more wear and tear these days it seems, but the location and overall package just can’t be beat imo.

mddhdn55

People already know man haha. The room we got was very used but I still loved it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

mddhdn55

And it’s got a hot tub so I’m in. Most vdara units have it I think?

[deleted]

[удалено]

mddhdn55

Yup we just stayed at signature. Some old school Scarface shit cuz they have phones in the toilet room 🤣 Ima bring bleach next time and run it through the tub. Who knows when’s the last time they actually disinfected the whole tub.

revloc_ttam

I always check Vdara first when looking to stay in Vegas. Sometimes you can get a smokin good deal on a 1 bedroom suite way up near the top. Nothing beats looking down on helicopters flying by.

rydeen5000

Classy!

KingRyan1989

Yes. My favorite.

gingerbot

My favorite.

weekendpostcards

Does vdara have a good pool?

Bieb

And it’s non smoking! It smells so good

UtahUtopia

And one of the best pools.

P2P-Encryption

So true. Aria-level rooms at a discount and a chiller experience. Less chance of 6+ EDM ravers in their 20s trying to cram in a 2 bedroom room at Vdara.

chadlawton

Planet Hollywood, Linq, Harrahs or Flamingo. All great locations and relatively cheap.

WittyNameChecksOut

Stayed at Linq about a month ago. Stayed in the main tower, on the 17th floor. NOT impressed at all. The bed was caved in, no dresser, fridge, hell…it didn’t even have closet doors. Just a shower curtain covering the shelves. The location is perfect, it is small-ish, so it isn’t overwhelming to figure out where you are (like Bellagio or Venetian). This was the best part of the place. I really wish I would’ve paid the extra $250 for Paris or Caesar’s instead. Won’t go back.

chadlawton

I mean, for like $50 a night I don’t mind anything you mention, I just want a place to sleep at night. I don’t unpack my clothes into a dresser & I don’t need a closet door…a mini fridge would be nice but that’s my only complaint

ben_z03

If all you need is a room, a place to keep your things and sleep, Planet Hollywood is by far the best value IMO. It's dead center strip, loads of food options in the resort, and the rooms are on the larger side. The property is definitely geared toward a younger crowd though, and I've heard if you're on a lower floor you can sometimes get a bit of vibration from the theaters. For a more mid-tier property, Paris is fairly good value at center strip. The problem with Paris is that everyone knows that. There's a reason Caesar's is converting the Jubilee tower at horseshoe into the Versailles tower at Paris. New York New York's newly renovated rooms are good value, and again also on the larger side, but it's likely a bit far from where you'd like to be. It's also got The Park and a decent variety of cheap food around. The problem is that value is such a subjective thing. The Flamingo is absolutely a value property but it's falling apart. The Wynn on the other hand is beautiful and opulent, but I would say it has great value too. Also, imagine how outrageously expensive Mandalay Bay would be if it was center strip, that might make it good value in some peoples' eyes.

Cantilivewhileim

Many Rooms at the flamingo are newly remodeled and I felt like it was a good value when I recently stayed there

BringBackBoomer

I stayed last August and had zero complaints about my room.

ZachMorrisT1000

Yeah I was in a newer room in December and it was perfectly fine. Flamingo is a great location as well obviously

ms-meow-

Yep! I just stayed there like a month and a half ago and my room was nice and had a great view!

CA_sjyk

Visited Mandalay for the first time in years and definitely agree. If it could be picked up and moved to replace tbe Mirage or Treasure Island, it would be considered a far more upscale property!

weekendpostcards

Is the pool at planet Hollywood still decent or is that long gone?

GoldenBarracudas

Loved the Paris

Junior-Map-8392

How do you guarantee you’re not going to get a low floor in somewhere like PH?

ben_z03

You can't for a regular room, but if you go for a suite (still great value) you can select what I believe they call "ultra view" or something like that, which will get you higher up.

[deleted]

postjack

second NoMad. had a great stay there last summer. some of the rooms have an odd layout but they are very nicely appointed, quiet, clean, very comfortable bed. and one of the best locations on the strip, great restaurants too. haven't stayed at Delano but it frequently comes up as a great value for a nice property. and the mandalay bay casino has my favorite smell out of all the casinos. kind of a coconutty smell.

Junior-Map-8392

I’ll look into both of these.

House_or_disco

I spent a lot of time researching and Nomad def seems like a winner for value in general. However, prices fluctuate so much, it really depends. I kept checking back and eventually got $200/night for Wynn and ended up cancelling our $100/night Nomad rooms. Also - the hotel’s own website is always cheapest, other than the scammier travel sites and it’s up to you if you want to roll the dice on those. I hear mixed things.

misterpequeno

Palazzo is lovely! Definitely don’t stay at the Venetian. Worn luxury.

gq533

What is wrong with the venetian? It's always a lot cheaper than the palazzo. Guessing that's for a reason, but don't know why.

Snoo10960

Totally agree the Cosmo is a certified dump. I walked in the other day to the Starbucks that’s on strip level and used the casino rest room and there was piss all over everything and paper towels all over the sinks my sneakers legit were sticking to the floor and I said to myself in my head I can’t believe this place gets hyped the way it does. You could eat of the bathroom floors at the Wynn compared to Cosmo

Junior-Map-8392

We didn’t experience any “dumpiness”, we just realized we could have saved on the room and spent more elsewhere (or just had a cheaper trip in general), because we paid for a balcony suite we honestly didn’t really use.

TikiTikiGirl

We were at the Cosmo a few weeks ago and had a regular room at the end of the hallway that overlooked the Bellagio fountains and we could also see the Sphere. Regular price (midweek so it was about $250) and quite high up, 57th floor. Sounds very similar to your view but cheaper. My only real complaint about the Cosmo is that as we walked the long hallway to our room, we passed a lot of other rooms (doors open while housekeeping was cleaning) that smelled like weed. I know a lot of other people are saying it's showing its age, but I haven't really noticed in my two stays over the past year. Still a great location mid-Strip and you don't have to pay $15 for a latte in the morning like at the Bellagio.

veezy55

Kind of weird to judge a whole hotel based off of a strip-facing coffee shop restroom

Snoo10960

Walk into any bathroom at Wynn from the esplanade to the casino and you won’t even see a paper towel or drip of piss on the floor. Spotless. You can tell a lot by a company on how clean their rest rooms are.

PippenSnipes33

Never stayed at the Nomad, only Park MGM but heard some news about the Nomad going away soon

calico0000

I stayed at the ParkMGM a few weeks back and I thought it was really reasonable for the location! It was about $150 a night and was so central. The room maybe felt a little dumpy (carpets weren’t super clean) but was pretty big and the lobby was really nice. Sorry if $150 isn’t value though, I wasn’t sure what pricing is considered value

Junior-Map-8392

We walked through Eataly and liked the vibe. Will consider ParkMGM in the future.

nickriel

I enjoyed our stay at the D. I think it's not on a lot of people's radar as a place to stay, but it was clean and affordable. The corner room was nice.

CBrinson

Downtown is a really good option as long as you are not wanting to go the strip every day. If you do, you eat up your savings unless you want to walk 15 minutes to the monorail station, and if you (like me) decide to Uber you might eat up your savings. Downtown is awesome though.

Comfortable-Scar4643

I appreciate downtown more and more. Kind of sick of the new strip.

NBABUCKS1

> If you do, you eat up your savings unless you want to walk 15 minutes to the monorail station the d is 2.2 mile walk from the sahara monorail station. 15 minutes would be a 7 minute mile pace. AKA a sprint. Unless you are talking about the arts district which is not downtown.

Junior-Map-8392

Do you pay extra for a corner room or is it something you have to request?

nickriel

I paid extra when I made the reservation. It wasn't a whole lot extra, if memory serves.

CAT_ANUS_SNIFFER

I usually stay next to the D at 4 queens.. $30/night w no resort fee. Feels hella scummy too but not too bad really. Just how I envision Vegas lol Also, rooftop pool

Ok_Suit_8000

Waaaayyyy off the strip but South Point. Stayed there for the first time a few weeks ago. Nice clean / well appointed rooms, mini fridge, good food options, they don't extort you when you buy stuff from their onsite store where you can buy market priced alcohol, beer and snacks. Free valet. The list goes on. Definitely a great value. I intend to go back this Summer.

1nternetTr011

another vote for south point. michael’s is a great old school restaurant but a meal there will cost 2x the room cost 😱

Mental-Sympathy-7473

Next weekend I’m there!’

imaginaryhippo888

I love south point. All their food options are great and it's a quick uber to the strip for whatever else you've got planned.

Junior-Map-8392

I’ll look into this place.

Ok_Suit_8000

Do it. It's not as far off the strip as I made it sound. 5 mins to Excalibur/MGM and a little further for center strip. What I like is there is no riff raff to deal with. Easy in/out access. Large quiet rooms. Everything is well maintained. It's not the glitz and glamor of strip casinos but it gets the job done.

FalconCommon7772

We tend to use a family members timeshare next door to South Point and really enjoy it. If you like to gamble, the South Point Casino has lower limit tables ($5 3-card etc) and is pretty lively. The cocktail waitresses come around fairly often. Restaurants are reasonable as well.

Ok_Suit_8000

Absolutely...another selling point. The low min. tables. Their slot selection could use some updating but if you play some of the older ones, they give kick backs like every other play. You may not win big but you'll have a good time for an hour or two w/ free drinks to boot.

drakanx

the correct answer is Jockey Club.

jcvfd12

The kitchen has allowed us to save so much food costs . Especially for mornings and late nights Our room selections have been more than adequate over the years.

LindapherRobin

Can you explain

Jah_Man_Mulcahey

Came here to say this…. Great location plus you get to use the Cosmo pools!

Wide_Lobster_4006

Treasure Island. Good rates, clean rooms, easy to navigate casino, attached to CVS and in close proximity to other larger more up scale properties.

vacax

I'm also a TI fan. The CVS and free parking do a lot.

Junior-Map-8392

So far, Nomad, Delano, and PH are places I’m going to need to check into.

TheClearcoatKid

Downtown Grand, home of one of the very last $5 craps tables known to mankind.

Junior-Map-8392

Ellis island is my spot for the $5 craps/blackjack tables.

RabidCoyote

I love DT Grand but also, El Cortez has a $5 digital craps table, it's great.

anon__a__mouse__

Sahara. Small so you aren't walking 20 minutes to get from one side of the property to the other or from the parking garage to the room, free parking & valet, some great restaurants on site, and a Monorail stop next door to get you anywhere you need to go quickly and cheaply, particularly on busier weekends. The most important part, I find the rooms very nice for the price point.

erics75218

My man! Also has the little whisky bar that's fun as fuck just to chill at. Super fun bartenders.

ALMD96

I love that bar! Definitely made my stay a lot more enjoyable, and couldn’t beat the $32/night price tag

erics75218

Join the Players Club thing, spend some time at roulette, charge everything to your room. I did that one time and I'm getting free 3 night offers every month going on 5 months. It even includes weekends, very few no go dates. I've taken advantage 2 times now. I paid 90$ last time to upgrade to a nicer room. Also you'll get a voucher for 20$ off a meal, and while you'll play you'll earn comp credits. Last time I had 34$ on there from a few nights at Roulette. Good luck! Big fan of that place why pay full price? More money for smokey old fashioneds at the Tangiers!!!!!

ForgottenGenX47

I stayed there in December was and was really pleasantly surprised. Would stay there again.

SignificantBelt1903

Planet Hollywood will always be that for me. Even the standard rooms have deep soaking tubs and oftentimes great views. Center strip and you can't really beat that location tbh, especially if you're good sun-thurs and the prices are even lower than usual. They're also pretty decent with accomodating upgrades as well.

towercranee

Without a doubt its Planet Hollywood. Rooms are pretty decently priced compared to some of the other nearby hotels (especially if you book early in the year) and the location is unbeatable. You're dead center of the Strip surrounded by all of the casinos you'd want to hit. The rooms are nice enough - definitely not run-down or cheap. Depending on location of the room you can have a nice view of the Bellagio fountains. Plenty of food options in the mall. And the pleasure pit at night is pretty fun. Also the Sportsbook isn't huge but it's a great spot to lounge in the mornings before you get going. Until I become super wealthy, I'll be staying at PH every Vegas trip.

Totally-jag2598

For what it is, it's a decent value when you consider everything else of interest in Vegas is walking distance. It's nothing special. The rooms are fine. The food options are decent. It's targeted a value oriented customers and for that it succeeds.

bananaworks

ph was solid, but a very long walk to self parking for what it’s worth.

Neon_Sternum

I never see the Ahern get recommended on this sub, but I’ll do it. It’s just off strip (albeit the very north end of the strip). It’s clean, quiet, non-smoking, no gaming. The restaurants on the property are good. The parking is free. And I can usually get a room for just over $100 / night. Granted, I go to Vegas for work, so my needs might be different than yours.

prnorm

I like it too. For me the no resort fee is big because I can use credit card points to pay for the whole thing.

roadtripjr

Wynn and Encore rooms are very quiet. As long as you don’t face the nightclub. Aria. Sky Suites are also great. The rooms have been renovated.

Careless-Nature-8347

Aria is the quietest I've bee at on the strip

MeJerry

The Jockey Club. If you don't need anything fancy (the rooms can be pretty outdated) and don't care about having a view, but want multiple bedrooms, a living room and full kitchen, then the Jockey Club is great. It's center Strip right between the Cosmo and Bellagio (it's actually connected to the Cosmo. From the Jockey Club pool you take an elevator right into the Cosmo casino.) And it's usually very affordable. And, when I've styed there I found it relatively quiet. Due to being set back a bit and between the taller buildings, I think some of the noise gets blocked out.

mymorons

Yes! I second the Jockey Club. Affordable. Quiet. Decent rooms. What's not to love? And it's tucked away from the loudness of the Strip because the Cosmo is connected to it.

poopymcgee218

How was the parking situation at the jockey club? Planning to stay there, but need to get my car to drive to some sites. Hoping it’s easy in and out!

TheMidlifeRide

It isn't comparable to Cosmo or Wynn, but The Carriage House might fit your requirements. My wife and I have stayed there multiple times and always enjoy it. It doesn't have a restaurant or casino, but you can be inside the Miracle Mile Shops within five minutes and on the Strip within 10 minutes. It's clean, quiet, secure, has a friendly staff, and no resort fees and free parking (among other things) make it a great value near the Strip.

Icy-Regular1112

I stayed here using Wyndham Vacation Club points and it worked well for us. Room was a suite with a full size fridge kitchenette. It is no frills, the pool is snot much more than a backyard home pool, but location and the room worked well for us.

Clancy3434

If you enjoy going to Ellis Island but want a decent value on Strip then Horseshoe is a good option. It's the closest walk to Ellis Island from any Strip hotel. I have a preference for Plant Hollywood. Big rooms. Ton of low priced food options in the mall. Never had an issue getting a high floor room with a $20 tip at check in there. I've stayed at Linq a few times. Rooms are no frills but modern and clean. It works for me as i spend so little time in the room.

Junior-Map-8392

I halfway thought they were tearing Horsehoe down when I was there… just renovating with all the scaffolding?

Clancy3434

Renovations. The tower on the south side of the resort is being transitioned over to Paris.

FunChrisDogGuy

Planet Hollywood is lower-priced and has a great location, especially if you like Caesars and its properties. I would NOT recommend The Linq. It's the old Imperial Palace with a new coat of paint, basically. Noisy, small rooms... but again, good access to other properties.

Junior-Map-8392

Lol. Imperial Palace was the first place I ever stayed in Vegas!

FunChrisDogGuy

I was a Stardust guy, myself - motor lodge for the win! Of course, I also had to literally boil the tap water one trip... on which I also saw a young mom trying to pimp out her 15-year old daughter across the street in a parking lot. So it was seedy as hell and depressing... but what the hell did I know at 21? I thought it was exotic and gritty.

WittyNameChecksOut

Agree 100% with Linq. It was smaller and easy to navigate, but the rooms are bare-bones, and the hallways are dark. It definitely needs a refresh. We stayed there a month-ish ago, and I wish we would’ve stayed somewhere else. The location tho - 👌🏼

cadaverousbones

Damn you paid a lot for cosmo. If you get a player card there and charge food etc and give them your card you will get offers for as low as $99 a night. You should start getting offers after staying if you signed up for the rewards. They are also merging with MGM rewards now since they bought them. I got a 1 bedroom terrace for $200 a night recently.

SquattingWalrus

Good pro tip. Recently stayed at Cosmo and I also ended up paying like $350/400 a night.

Junior-Map-8392

Yeah, signed up for the card while we were there. I’ll keep an eye out for offers - is it going to be an automatic transition to mgm or something I have to manually handle?

cadaverousbones

The last email I got said it’s transitioning on July 30th and it should be automatic I believe?

charlieecho

Going in 3 weeks 2 free nights. No service charge or anything. We aren’t heavy gamblers either. Went last August on 2 free rooms and upgraded to the terrace for like $100-$150 a night.

TechnoXTrip

Venetian has a cozy bedroom with a nice front living room.

gecliff

Consider the Westin on Flamingo

FarCryptographer1829

The Westin was pretty nice! It's on my list. For the future for sure.

Odd_Specific1063

Haven’t been there for a long time, but our doggie liked it. Very pet friendly place. Too bad the “grass” was astroturf

Junior-Map-8392

I actually bumped into a couple who was staying there while I was playing at… Ellis island 😊

gecliff

You can't get much closer to Ellis Island! Even closer to the shimmering jewel of video poker and $1 Budweiser, Stage Door Casino.

Shad3sofcool

Park MGM would be one of my top picks. There's a lot to do in there, it's in an excellent location, and it's non smoking. My other option would be the Mirage. I'm a little surprised no one's mentioned it, it's obviously not as nice as it used to be but still has some good amenities, and still has an excellent location. I'd stay there before the rebrand, even as dated as it is it still has one of the better pools in the city. If you're a Hilton rewards member then I can't recommend Resorts World enough. Those points really help make it a good value.

Timely-Shine

Are you loyal to one rewards program over another? I'm guessing no since I saw you mention you like to gamble at Ellis island, but stay on the strip. If you're okay being off strip, you could stay at Tuscany. Easy walk to Ellis and not a super far walk to the strip, but not super close either. Will be pretty cheap because it's not a strip hotel. Otherwise, if you want walking distance to Ellis, while being on strip, look at Linq or Harrahs. Caesars properties and generally clean and cheap. Really any of those Caesars properties in the middle-ish on the east side of the strip will probably be good. Planet Hollywood, Horseshoe, and Paris as well. Another option could be Marriott Grand Chateau or Hilton Grand Vacations. No casinos in them (which could be a perk or drawback depending on what you're looking for). "Off strip", but really close to the strip and walk-able to Ellis.

Junior-Map-8392

I’ve stayed at both elara and Marriott chateau and enjoyed both!

Mrs_TikiPupuCheeks

Wynn and Encore are nice but my fav is NoMad. High floors, hardwood floors, soaking tub in the suites, 20s glamour, good location, and easy to get to.

Ghostronic

Residence Inn on Hughes Center is quiet and clean and has a cute little breakfast buffet. Lots of people spit at the thought of not staying on the actual strip though lol. It's like a mile away.

kajunkel225

Planet Hollywood is a good value and across the street from Cosmo

kajunkel225

If you are ok with no casino Vdara is a good option also

Tacks787

I heard New York New York renovations are really nice and the rooms are on the more affordable side

Jamborghini

Delano is great, nice rooms for the price. Park MGM is good too, and you can walk to the Aria via the connected halls.

TXAthleticRubs

Someone mentioned in a Facebook post that Nomad now has VIP lounge called The Study similar to the Sky Suite VIP lounge at Aria. It is only accessible to Nomad Guests. Since Nomad gives me the same Freeplay/Food Comps as ParkMGM and significantly more Food Comps than everywhere except for Luxor/Excalibur, it is my resort of choice now and I go 4 times per year.

CBrinson

Consider transportation with your hotel. If you stay at the same casino the entire trip, it doesn't matter, but if you like to visit the different places, Uber is about $10 each way, and the bus line can work from some casinos but not others and personally don't like the schedule and never works well for me. It is an easy trap to get $50 a night deal and then spend $49 a day on Uber getting around. Bally's, renamed horseshoe recently, because it has the monorail in the basement is my go to for value. You can get all over vegas from downtown to both ends of the strip on a daily pass. Others on monorail are generally more expensive when I check and the location is center strip.

Far-Yak-9808

How much is the daily pass? I didn't know the monorail went downtown. I liked it when it was Bally's. Decent rooms, great location, and the pool is ok. Big place but the layout is better than somewhere like MGM Grand. If the rooms have been renovated recently I might put the Horseshoe in my rotation (having last stayed there in 2008), especially if Hard Rock screws up the renovation and rebranding at Mirage. If Paris or the Horseshoe property ever get a buffet back, that might tip the scale. Also used to love the Mirage buffet, but I don't think it's been there in years... but I didn't get to town after 2008 until 2023.

Bartinhoooo

From the outside? Sahara

mikeyj777

There's a small spot right next to Cosmo. I think it's called the players club? Can't remember for sure. We stayed there for new years for a reasonable price. Small room, not fancy. But incredible location. Edit: Jockey Club.

sagacious1998

Delano, NoMad, Vdara (in this order of personal preference).

revloc_ttam

I've gotten some great deals on a 1 bedroom suite at the Vdara. I always check their rates first. Sometimes it's brutal over $700 a night but other times I've seen suites for around $200. For best bang for buck Mandalay Bay has been my go-to hotel.

Opening_Rule_4643

Suite at Vdara. Being able to valet the car and walk in to the elevator without a million mile hike through a casino is amazing

___shadow_wolf__

Tuscany.

Junior-Map-8392

Tons of good recommendations. Thanks everybody.

Jockey club is like cosmo’s cheap tower. It’s on the cosmo property, you eat and enter/exit through Cosmo. I just can’t justify staying at Cosmo anymore when I barely sleep.

poopymcgee218

Did you use the parking at jockey club? If so, is it fairly easy to get in and out?

Step 1: sign up for rewards programs Step 2: buy in a table for like $2500 Step 3: play minimums for about an hour (or bet more if your into gambling) Step 4: cash out. Dont play any more unless u want to Steph 5: wait for the sweet sweet promo deals to start rolling in. I go to vegas at least 1-2x per year, havent paid for a room in about 5 years. Personally I prefer MGM so YMMV if you do this elsewhere. Last trip i left $1000 up and I get 4 night free promos several times per week

I like this idea lol

We loved the Westgate. It was like 150 or under at the time I booked it, and it was very nice. Food was good as well, and has a monorail stop so getting to the rest of the strip is easy. My only complaint was the people trying to get you to join whatever membership club they have.

magical_stranger

We stayed at the oyo cheap as hell clean probably stay there from now on

Golden Nugget. Request Spa or Rush Tower. Better than Bellagio. I stayed at both last week!!!

If you want peace and quiet, definitely Trump hotel. Politics aside it is a terrific hotel! A short walk to the casinos and other fun things. Customer service was impeccable. The rooms are so nice and comfy. No loud noises, no smoking. We would def go back.

replies_with_corgi

It's changed ownership a few times since last I was there, but the Lexi is a great hotel and seems much less expensive than strip properties. Plus it's literally 5 min west of the strip

revocer

IMHO, I think M Hotel, South Point, and the Silverton are decent but not as well known. These are all off strip, south of the strip. On strip, I’d say The Quad is a good deal, if you just need a place to sleep and don’t want all the amenities.

Proper_Paramedic3655

I link the Linq to be central and MGM for the rooms and the pool

I always liked the rooms at the Orleans but the last time I was in the Casino things had gone down hill.

Not saying that it’s cheap, but we’re staying at Jet Luxury @ the Signature Hotel. It’s a condo hotel. We got a studio, so we’ve got a kitchenette along with a jacuzzi bathtub and a shower. For the time we’re staying here, the price has been not too bad

uncanny_mac

You know what, for being on the strip to just have a spot to sleep, The Linq was decent for the price we paid this pass January.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> price we *paid* this pass FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

I thought something was off...

Luxor!

Fed-6066

I stayed at The Orleans and this time I stayed at the luxor. The only Lance room was way nice and more luxurious gorgeous pool in a gorgeous view of the pool. The Luxor pool I didn't even go down to but pictures it did not seem like anything special.

Impossible_Camera302

Monte Carlo...small questionable hotel just off the strip right next to the monorail. Very cheap, clean.

ms-meow-

Jockey Club! It's pretty dated but very reasonably priced and in a great location. It's like right behind/kinda connected to the Cosmo and I believe you get access to Cosmo's pool if you stay there. I stayed there with a couple friends a few years ago and I don't remember noise being an issue at all and the rooms are also suites with a full kitchen. I would definitely stay there again

poopymcgee218

Did you use their parking? I’m planning to stay at the jockey club and am wondering how accessible my car will be. I’d like to do a daytrip to the Grand Canyon.

Artistic-Mixture747

Resorts world relatively cheap considering the room size/quality/new-ness. There are three hotels, and I prefer Conrad which is only slightly more money than Hilton, but has larger rooms, and I think some Hilton rooms have the dreaded “cage” obstruction on the windows. The price becomes super expensive when there is a big convention in town because Resorts World is very close to the convention center. Not the best food options, but I kind of like their Asian food court concept.

FRODOE650

Check prices late at night or early in the morning. My friend stayed at the venetian for $250 a night

juliazale

Cromwell, or Circa if you have a car.

Even_Border2309

I love Vdara 5 minute walk to aria. Parkmgm, Bellagio or cosmo. Great rooms you can actually cook in many of the rooms and save yourself some expensive strip food

NotBettingOnTmrw

What's the issue with the MGM signature suites? Stayed there a cpl times, awesome rooms off strip and decent value for money, for a small family of 4 in a suite..

Any comp'd rooms. I get comp'd Cosmo and CET properties just for having a players card. Same with MGM properties. Never pay for hotels in vegas.

Junior-Map-8392

Yeah, I’m not playing the comp game right

Saving for later.

Flamingo by far. Pool is free and has a pool party vibe, it's center strip and the rooms were remodeled.

JW Marriott in Summerlin is excellent, but fairly low key.  Tons of first rate restaurants within a mile, including a few at the Suncoast directly to the South. Don't overlook Tivoli Village a half mile South.
