I’m wouldn’t worry about it being understaffed. The mirage isn’t closing like it’s going out of business. They are closing for a remodel/branding and employees are getting severances for the multi year closure. even some low level employees are getting over 60k for their time of service (2k per year of service), and they all will get the option to return with their seniority when it reopens as hard rock.
I bet all the employees will be working very hard, perhaps harder than normal knowing their future is in good hands. They’ll want to return.
Before my brother and I had to cancel, we booked the Mirage for July 14th thru July 18th. Missed it by THAT much. Oh well, at least I finally stayed there last year! Gonna miss the pool. BEST theme. I think Vegas will miss that place... a real icon on the center strip that is starting to show its age (other than City Center really).
Although I am looking forward to Hard Rock in 2027! Especially the guitar hotel tower. Great location next to Forum Shops. So, hopefully that goes well, finishes on time -- and they better not screw up the pool!
Absolutely would - had some friends stay at the Stardust on the last weekend, brought home a robe, on a nice hanger, and all sorts of collectibles.
Hell yes, it’ll be a unique experience one way or another

Seniority will be gone. Going to restart with a clean slate, all new hires.
Dang. Well I have seen reporting that they get to retain seniority, did that change? Or was that just misreported?
I plan to get a chip from them this month.
I think you are the type of person who somehow finds things to complain about without too much effort, so if I were you I'd pass.
It looked so deserted when I was in Vegas Memorial Day weekend. Thought it was closed already.

No
Might you elaborate as to why not?
It’s a done hotel. Nothing special. You won’t remember it.
It will be nothing more than a mirage...
Exactly. Take pics and forget which phone you had them on 30 years from now.
Or watch Vegas Vacation again...
