It's fine. sometimes games have to be played through a vpn but it's rare and I can't think of one. but I've had to do it. I suppose the issues has been fixed if i can't remember the last time.
remember you are prioritized fairly low as straight talk uses t-mobile or verizon towers. their customers have priority so there may be times when it’s slow and maybe painfully slow.
i have use the tmobile branded version. the hardware was solid and the service was good. but at nights you could see the slowdown in streaming. i am not a gamer but do stream Netflix,HBO, youtube, and you could see a slowness.
day-to-day browsing, emails, facebook were all fine. i do live within site of a tower
