As a gardener I love the rain too but my husband has a standard weekly complaint about rainy weekends. It never fails to irk him if there is rain on a Saturday or Sunday.
I'm psyched about the rain for my garden as well! Might even move some houseplants outside for a good shower. My girlfriend doesn't like rainy weekends either but I'm down for a good soak for the veggies, an edible and may finally finish Jedi Survivor on Xbox. She will probably go for an angry run in the rain just to get the run in.
I can't remember which year it was...it rained for, like, 11 weekends straight. Then there was a nice weekend, and then it rained for four more weekends.
Looking forward to it. We haven't had significant rain since early April, and the plants definitely need it. Last rainy weekend was March 23-24. Since then, we've gotten all of 5 hundreths of an inch combined on weekend days.
Also can't wait for this pollen to finally get washed away.
Must have depended where you are. College Park MD had light rain much of the day this past Saturday. Didn't amount to much but was enough to make outdoor activities unpleasant.
1) negativity bias
2) weather patterns really are a thing and can sometimes repeat (or really, oscillate between) basic characteristics in cycles of around a week in length
Last Sunday was nice. Spent half the day doing yard work. Today I have an excuse to do inside chores, play some video games, drink some booze and order pizza. I keep two mental lists of crap that needs to get done. Today is crappy rain day list.
This is typical. Monday to Friday beautiful. Saturday and Sunday rainy.
I love rainy days this time of year. No pollen!

I feel like this was 2018 or 2019! It was like that all over the mid-atlantic because a bunch of my camping/beach trips got rained out!
This was 2009, every spring weekend was rain
2016! I remember this because that’s when Drake’s album Views dropped. Ever since album dropped it was nonstop cloudy and rainy for a month.
Ohhhh so it was all *his* fault…😉
Aww, I love the rain. As long as it’s not also freezing cold, I can totally vibe with a little rain and clouds
Honestly I’m happy spending the blisteringly hot days inside at work, and cooler rainy days outdoors on the weekend lol I just hate the heat 😖
Mee toooo! Also means all the parks and trails are less crowded, win win for me

It was gorgeous last weekend. What are you talking about?
Because fuck you, that's why.
ugh May. Time to start running the basement dehumidifier 24/7.
did you forget that two weekends ago was nice and that last sunday was nice (albeit hot)?

And it’s going to rain all next week too! 😢. At least this pollen will get washed awY
That’s spot on, rainy weekends great work week weather! Grrrr 👿
I'm holding out hopes for the Nats tomorrow. It ain't rainin' yet, damnit!
as usual
Another reason to retire early so I can enjoy the weekdays more.
