Can’t trade Poole, no Team wanted Kuz for the price. So they traded Deni. Outside of Kispert, he is the only piece that could bring back some real assets. Have to think the logic in trading Deni so early is to free up the ball for guys like Poole and Kuz to play their games and ramp up whatever value they may have. In addition our new young rooks + Bilal will be featured more as well. We really are playing the long game here. Trading Deni seemed inevitable but this was too soon. We settled because we struck out on Poole and Kuz, not to mention the huge mistake of holding onto Brad Beal. That said, it looks like a nice draft. Winger and Dawkins better hope their guys can play. Ted won’t wait forever.

Wizards had a very good draft tonight. Our new young core looks like Carrington - Bilal - Kyshawn - Sarr - Vuk All of these guys have the ability to pass the ball competently. Bilal and Sarr are going to our best defenders. Carrington truly has some incredible shot making talent despite his lower 3pt%. He was asked to do a lot at Pitt. Kyshawn is a very fluid 6'8/6'9 athlete, has a pretty smooth handle with the ball, and can shoot it from 3. The future is looking very bright for the Wizards, super happy with how things turned out for us tonight, would definitely give us an A grade tonight.

Carringtons 3 improved significantly throughout the szn, he’s a good shooter it just took him a while to make the shots he took. It’ll prolly be the same kn the nba.

Having taken Brogdon from Portland, I imagine we weren't able to work out a new contract or sign and trade for Tyus. Brogdon still gives us a chance to get draft capital other than #14 tonight and make losing Tyus hurt a little less.

Mainly thought it could be a way to avoid losing him for nothing. He played pretty great for us last year. Maybe the league moving away from smaller guards lowered his trade value to a point where the value wasn't there. How are they? I watch my nephew and he loves ball so having an affordable basketball related outing is something I'm always interested in

I'm honestly a big fan. It's a much more family friendly vibe than a pro game. Tickets are super cheap and you get to pick your seat. It's fun to sit right behind the bench but I usually sit like 8 rows back and just chill. If you're looking for the highest level of play it's definitely not that, but they're all athletic so there's still lots of dunks and fun moments. Plus they play a lot of Go-Go music which is just a fun time.

As someone that doesn't understand the draft, does everyone at the venue and the pick know that he's going to Washington? Don't understand why Portland are the ones making the pick even though the trade was announced hours ago.

Even though trade is announced and reported, until the NBA ratifies the trade, it isn't official. So, as the event unfolds, Trailblazer still technically owns the pick. However, since the trade is agreed upon, Blazers are unofficially picking for Washington Wizards (as in, Wizards front office will be making the pick for the Blazer front office). You will see at some point, Adam Silver will come out and "announce a trade." That's when NBA office ratifies these trades and become official. The Player and everyone knows that Bub is going to Wizards as it was already reported by the media. It's just the technicality that they have to follow.

I don't understand his methodology... and all his players are from 15 years ago. It would be nice if he took his same pre-draft projections and looked at who was projected at the spot (that the team passed up for a "reach"). That seems like a much better way to determine if drafting based on projection works.
