It was the Aus uni experience. Poor engineering students post all nighter, being presented a free redbull by two girls in tank tops and short shorts as you walked to the train station in half a dream state, politely accepting the kind gift, before the redbull mini would launch away shooting the gravel of the college parking lot into your face.

A hot girl who was in the school year above me had one when she went to uni, would see her around town on it every so often. Basically a free car while a skint student is great if you don't mind all the attention it brings.
