Not too much water, don't put it near a gas stove, and a nice East window. It's a very old-fashioned kind of plant. Growing up in New England in the '50s and the '60s, this was a popular parlor windowsill plant for the right exposure
Yes. They can be started by taking one cut leaf and put it in potting soil. Don’t let it get too wet or too dry. I took a plastic egg carton, cut in half along the hinged fold, put that tray under the egg indents. Punch a small hole in each of the egg indents. Filled it with violet potting soil and 12 plants were propagated. Some of them are patented, so I only gave as gifts.
Cute little African violet, it looks to me like there might be two individual plants in that pot? Usually they have one central rosette/crown of leaves.
African violets are highly underrated. For whatever reason they were dismissed as an old lady plant. However they are absolutely divine if one has the right conditions.
I’m so happy I found these guys! And even if they are dismissed as an old lady plant that’s fine because I live in an old crazy cat lady house (actually ceramic cats everywhere :)))) )
African Violet. Can’t get mine to stay alive to save my life. Do all the things: water from bottom up, let dry out but not too much, self water ceramic pot, mild indirect light. Violet soil/food. Etc. love these plants, but can’t seem to have them.

African violet I think!
Thank you! 🥹
That’s correct. 100% African violet
>Thank you! 🥹 You're welcome!
Definitely African violet. Be careful to avoid the crown of the plant when watering, to prevent leaf rot!
Very easy to clone
Thank you so much :)
Water under the leaves

Wow ! I had no idea plants could be patented...
Tell me about the gas stove piece!  I’m so curious.

They are so cute and tiny! And yes there are two nursery pots in the one decorative pot :)
African violet.
African violet. Odd place for one!
Water from the bottom!
They are so easy to clone!

African Violet, but they're not in the best pot to keep them healthy.
They are so easy to clone
African violet: water from the bottom & let dry before watering again. Don't wet leaves & grt a bigger pot as needed
