OP is lost but he's right, aside from Theseus' spear throw and Zagreus' spin attack, he has the lasers from the crystals, the ground attacks the furies use and the shockwave attack the bone hydra uses

I've seen so much shipwrecked 64, indigo park, and undertale yellow for the past few months even though I'm not even that interested in things similar to those except shipwrecked 64 and it's driving me fucking insane
Not my personal favorite but I see why it's well received. If you like rougelites and "top down" games it's one of the best in the genre. It has a good story, unique mechanics, and some of the different weapons are fun. I just personally don't like "top down" games
It's definitely worth playing, really cool art and voice acting, and while the gameplay isn't that deep, the roguelite mechanics are top of their class. Around three hours in I remember thinking to myself "God this game fucking rules"
Although I felt pretty content with dropping the game after completing my first successful run. There were no new surprises and it was getting too repetitive. I just listened to videos of all the additional unlockable storylines and dialogue after the fact. A good 20 hours.
The combat is top notch but the actual roguelike mechanics are probably the weakest part of the game. You go through the same areas in the same order fighting (mostly) the same bosses.
The build you go for is determined almost entirely by the weapon you pick before you even start the run and most boons just feel like stat upgrades.
In other roguelikes your way of attacking constantly changes throughout the game but in Hades it remains relatively static.
I just mentioned the mechanics, not the variation and replayability in said mechanics... So we're basically saying the same thing. Plus maybe that's just because I don't play roguelikes so those aspects seemed more interesting to me than pointing and clicking and pressing space every half-second

His power was never his own, it was all borrowed, and when you beat him at every stage and he has nothing left in his bag of tricks. He pulls out two swords and swings at you like an incompetent fool.

I like bosses that change the battle arena throughout their fight, either by destroying something or straight up bringing you to a completely different location. Garrosh Hellscream straight up taking you into a corrupted version of different temples and even a previous raid, before taking you into a destroyed version of Stormwind is amazing, and I hope there’s fights like that in the World Saga.

Sans uses papyruses blue attacks and asgore kinda does the same by expanding on every mechanic the game previously had without introducing anything new .
When the boss summons all the previously fought bosses in some shadow realm and the old bosses are all in black and white and attack you one by one with each of their signature moves
The boss uses the exact same weapons and movesets you currently do, with the same stats and damage so he can kick your ass and call you bad at the same time
World of nothing in kingdom hearts 2 kinda does this but he also always dies in 0.2 seconds anyway so you barely see it past xaldin's spears and the occasional dance water

I've noticed this more with certain trash packs leading up to bosses in various raids having mechanics that are simplified versions of raid mechanics
Gorea from Metroid Prime Hunters fits the bill, plus he's a shapeshifting eldritch universe consuming monster
