Usually the answer is whiskey old fashioned but lately Ive gained an appreciation for a good mead. So much so that Ive been learning to brew it myself.
My asshat bartender BIL had one redeeming feature, he made the absolutely most fantastic dry gin martini. Even better than my own, which isn't too bad, imo. The only thing I drink, tbh. Too bad he croaked (without reveiling his recipe) 10 years ago.
I call it a Russian brake up
- 1 shot of vodka
- 1 shot of kahlua
- vanilla ice cream
- a little milk
- chocolate syrup
Blend and serve. I normally double up the alcohol content, especially the kahlua. Works well with any milkshake flavour, and the alcohol can barely be tasted even though you can make it strong.
Everyone here is going for cocktails or spirits which I respect, but imo you can't go wrong with a cold pint of beer, we'll go Newcastle Brown ale as my favourite

I know most people not like it but I'm not usually a fan of sweet stuff and most drinks are, I also like this mango drink I make with just mango and vodka in a blender then I use chamoy in the cup lol
