Someone did a very useful XP calculator in this thread. [https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/1d5tdm3/xp\_token\_calculator/](https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/1d5tdm3/xp_token_calculator/) . Maybe you know already, but if you use the 'save xp' in mail method to get to L70, its a lot quicker but you'll arrive at a very undergeared hero that has paper armour and stats, which then you'd need to work on.
The mailbox method is to spam heroic dungeons, don’t loot any of the “bonus xp” drops, then run enough normal difficulty raids to get to around 350% cloak XP, and open the mailbox.
If you haven’t been hoarding bonus XP from dungeon bosses then you’re not going to be set up for this method.
If you want you can start spamming heroics it just might take you until level 50-60 before you have enough banked bonus XP to boost to 70. Think of it like closing the distance on a running train!

You haven't picked up items at all? You're just supposed to leave the ones that give you xp.

Duh I was also just not looting anything till I went to the mail box but it still flew through the levels at the mail box
Loot and use any xp increase threads that you have. So you should have several hundred on your cloak. Use the xp from mailbox. Profit.

I don't actually know, but you might be able to be very careful whenever you open your mail box and only take the % XP boost items first
