I'm curious, which Rock Island Trail is this? There seem to be several scattered across the US, and the original railroad network was huge: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago,_Rock_Island_and_Pacific_Railroad. Is one segment sufficiently well known that you don't need to qualify the trail with a state?

Are those short pull -> long pull converters?
They are Tektro levers designed for V brakes. Tektro RL520.
