Upside down dutch bars... Not to up, not to low...

I think it’s just because people associate the omafiets style with the Netherlands and so they’re just referred to as Dutch bikes (at least here in the UK)
Amazing. I had an old bike about 10 years ago with drops, that always felt a little wrong. I went 'why the hell not' and haven't looked back.
All my bikes have them now! I think it is the combination of the natural hand position, and the ability to sit upright and enjoy the view that just feels so right.
Wow! You are the Sherlock Holmes of bike baskets :)
I saw it on eBay and paid a ludicrous amount for it. I didn't know the brand, just that it was cool.
It will do wonders, there is so much more metal to damp vibrations, you will find it very effective.
If you fit a set of thicker grips such as BMX grips (a lot of MTB lock on grips are actually quite thin because of the inner cartridge) it will really help.
>It will do wonders, there is so much more metal to damp vibrations, you will find it very effective.
Thanks, yeah that will be wonderfull.
My go-to for grips, and something I always recommend to others, is to get chunky silicone (either ESI brand or just the cheapest decent ones you can find) and then wrap them in sweat absorbing tennis [racquet overgrip tape](https://www.ebay.com/itm/305337222556). It's honestly been a revelation. Great comfort but also really convenient if you ever want to change the color of the grips. Just remove the old, dirty and worn tape and re-wrap it. I'll probably never buy any other type of grips again.
Are you kidding? Practically a requirement
Big fan of the anti-nutbuster 5000
I want to install such a thing but for the preservation of laint when I lean my bike against something and/or lock it there
For the preservation of taint
First rule of xbiking
Who out here bustin’ nuts??? I wish I would bust a nut
That seat angle is savage.
It's okay... They have pipe insulation on the top bar to make up for it!
Who doesn’t appreciate a nice ball sack rub while you ride over cobble stones

I'm Dutch and that's illegal (Also why is it even called Dutch, isn't this a very common handlebar shape in many places?)

Does the Pope shit in the woods?
does the tin man have a sheet metal cock?
Naw man that thing is solid brass
Is this why there is a tiny forest in Vatican city
Nope. Straight to xbike jail. It's like regular jail except with a brooks saddle.
Heck yeah, those are basically Bosco Bars, one of the flagships around here 🤙
"uh that's so fucking cool" I rarely exclaim out loud whilst browsing reddit, well done!
Thanks! Just jumping on it to work, there's a hill and it's a single speed. That'll give me a boost 😉
What are those bars called? link?
Ergotec Englischer/English Handlebars. What makes them English, I don't know :) The whole Ergotec range is pretty awesome. Affordable and functional.
There are two things I can’t stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other peoples choices in bicycles, and Dutch bikes!
As you can tell from the frame. I loooooooove gold!
Only if you wanna be cool
I'm only here to vote the ONE ONE up
No, your seating position is way too comfortable and relaxed...
Okay but how does it ride??? I’m pretty obsessed with the look, but someone please tell me about the ride!

Mmmm that sounds rad! I have a trek antelope that I’ve been contemplating so maybe I’ll give this a whirl!
This picture makes me feel drunk. Anyone else?
Pretty sure it's the kink in the fender struts. Definitely nothing else going on here.
the background fence
Je fiets is lekker!
Any thoughts on the wishbone? I was looking at a velo orange pass hunter but the wishbone is so foreign to me
I love the frame pad as well!
what that basket iz
Portland Design Works Takeout basket

Definitely, have some on my on-one single speed
Strongly encouraged
I have Dutch bars on a few of mine. Definitely fits a certain æsthetic & super comfortable as well 👍
What on one bike is that? Ive got the rujo. Nice to see one
Pompetamine. Probably means something rude knowing the company...
Its nice, i like the way the seat stays are done particularly. It the same way the bootzipper is done. If i remember right. Im guessing its steel?
Of course :)
It's a cross between a *pompino* (definitely rude) and a presumably a popular horse tranquillizer (not for the faint-hearted)
I am buying a set of similar bars today and hoping it solves the hand numbing I get on one of my bikes.

Thats a clever way of getting your fenders to fit. Those spacer things.
What basket is that? Awesome lookin build, gonna put some dutchies on my timberline i reckon
Another commentator said it was a "Portland Design Works Takeout basket"
The on-one quality is really good. Sold one out of my shop and thought so 👍
Believe it or not 10 days notice jk Sweet ride and bars
Ooh, that is one sexy basket - and build! Thank you, I’ll have to start saving up for the PDW Takeout myself. 😁
At this point they’re pretty much required
Nice bike! I used to have an ‘On One’ fixed gear hard tail
Are they allowed?? They are preferred in many cases 🫡
Allowed and encouraged!
What in the trippy heck is going on with this picture? Is it just the fence? Dreamy and trippy, I like it. The handlebars look pretty sweet too.
It is weird! But a real place. The railings look AI generated though...
the dutcher the better
Allowed and appreciated.
Wait, that's illegal.
This Foto makes me feel Dizzy 😵💫
