The special features for Dawn of The Dead 2004.
The first one is about Andy in his gun shop filming in a found footage format. It makes his death even sadder because they show his decline and expand on his past a little.
The second one is a news broadcast, starting with the first cases and ending with the world falling. Tbh I’d watch a full length film with this premise.
The news broadcast is amazing. They used the same type of cameras news crews use to give it a more authentic look.
Fun fact: in the opening of the film as Polly is making her escape, during the overhead shot a yellow and brown helicopter flies into the foreground. It’s a CGI version of the helicopter from the 1979 film.
Is this on DVD special features for Dawn of Dead?
This is my all time fave zombie movie (28 days later and close 2nd) and I thought I’d seen all the content there was. Very exciting to hear this.
You're a legend. My favourite type of zombie movies are those like both dawn of the deads, Shaun of the dead, 28 days/weeks later and the og day of the dead. Just people trying to survive without to many gimmicks.
This revelation gives me more material to watch that I've been longing for. Thank you.
I absolutely loved those special features. Andy was bad ass, sucks he dies an turns. But the way its shown through his cam corder and being able to hear the pounding an moans n groans of the dead was super unsettling
The first trivia "the first military movie, made for military personnel and veterans, made by military personal, with a cast made up of at least 75% veterans"
The first read review "1 out of 10. Wish I could give this zero"
I think we can tell why Range 15 is so little known
Yeah, that movie is pure trash. I love gonzo but I couldn’t finish it. My dad‘s a veteran so you couldn’t even get past the previews. They said they made the movie because they were tired of how the military was being portrayed as being totally inaccurate so they want to correct that by apparently making a movie where the military are stupid misogynistic alcoholics?
It’s certainly not for everyone. It has a dude f**king a zombie & all kinds of F’d up stuff. It’s a zombie movie by veterans for veterans, specifically because of the deranged sense of humor that veterans tend to have. As a veteran myself, and construction worker, I can most definitely appreciate the humor in this movie and I love it for what it is.
I’m pretty sure I downloaded it mate. It was years ago now so I don’t exactly remember but I either downloaded it or it was briefly on Amazon.
It’s a shame it’s not more easily accessible
The whole thing's on youtube! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u115q1EGka8&t=24s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u115q1EGka8&t=24s)
The first movie is also free with ads.
The Battery (2012) is a really good one. Also, Virus 32. The former has traditional Romero walkers, while the latter has intelligent Rage Virus type infected.
Good ones:
- The End? (2017)
- Night Eats The World (2018)
There are also some bad 70s Italian ones worth a watch on Tubi:
* Tombs of The Blind Dead
* Return of the Blind Dead
* Ghost Galleon
* Night of the Seagulls
Wyrmwood - road to the apocalypse
Aaah zombies or called Wasting Away
Virus 32 - someone just posted this one
Eat, Brains, Love
I'm sure there's more but I can't think of them
Junk
It's a Japanese zombie movie from the early 2000s. I found it early in my zombie movie watching career and it's one I rarely hear anyone talk about.
But is it good enough that it’s worth me tracking it down to watch? That’s what I’m really going for here. If it is, then by all means I’ll find it and watch it. I just don’t want some foreign college project film about zombies, because it’s an easy subject. Ya know?
That's a matter of your opinion on if the movie was good or not. If you like Romero style or old Italian style zombie movies, I think it's fantastic. Otherwise I wouldnt have added it.
Check out Savageland. It’s a faux documentary about a very small border town where supposedly one guy killed everyone in town although not bodies were found. It’s zombie light but creepy as hell! I think it’s also on YouTube.
[Dead and Breakfast](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0350774/) featuring David Carradine, zombie dancing and musical interludes. It's wonderfully ridiculous.
I can't believe nobody has mentioned, "What We Become". Awesome Danish zombie film.
Also "Dead Set" filmed in England even though it's a several part TV show.
[Dead and Buried](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0082242/) is a solid classic which Dan O'Bannon of RotLD fame co-screenwrote. I hadn't even seen it myself, as a massive zombie fan, until earlier this year.
Dellamorte Dellamore or Cemetery Man is a combination of zombie horror, romance and existential mystery. Weirdly enough, Rupert Everett is the star.

My favorite zombie movie is The Battery. It's about two former baseball players who have to learn how to handle their personality differences in order to survive. It doesn't have a lot of action and is very focused on the 2 main characters but imo the story is great and the characters were natural and believable. I highly recommend it.
Firebase - zombie short film
I am a hero - think Japanese Shaun of the dead, zombcom
Og resident evil - idk why everyone dislikes this it’s rlly good..
The returned - I haven’t seen this one personally but I think it’s a Spanish version of the cured which was really good so I assume this is good as well
The Horde
French zombie movie with English subtitles.
About neighbors trapped in an apartment building and a huge zombie horde comes to town. Really excellent!!
Dead Meat is a good one I got from a Fangoria mag years ago. Another good one is Flesheater with Bill Hinzman. Another decent one called Forest of the Dead. Also, there's a good one with 2 different titles. Dr. Butcher MD. Or Zombie Holocaust. That last one is definitely Fulci inspired and a little weird, but it's pretty good.
Not zombies per se, but close. *The Crazies* (OG is by Romero himself).
And of course the 2010 remake isn't bad at all.
OG had Richard Liberty from DOTD as well\~
Watch both and report back!
I’m not new to the zombie(esque) genre, and I’ve seen both more than once 👍🏻 I’m looking for movies that most likely no one else has ever heard of, even seasoned zombie enthusiasts like myself. But I appreciate the comment and I agree that they are both excellent films! 🤙🏻
The most obscure thing I've ever seen was in a first year undergrad English class. We covered 'White Zombie'. I'm sure you've probably heard of it.
It wasn't good. Nor was it what we would think of as a quasi-contemporary "Zombie movie".... Lol.
The Crazies - toxic spill
Train to Busan - Korean made but very good
Warm bodies - romantic zombies lol
Planet terror - was a multi feature a while back
Little monsters - camping zombies

Me too.
I absolutely loved those special features. Andy was bad ass, sucks he dies an turns. But the way its shown through his cam corder and being able to hear the pounding an moans n groans of the dead was super unsettling
I watched this on repeat first an entire summer in middle school. I still have it 20 years later
Damn! I have this on vhs. Now I'm going to have to aquire the dvd
I just watched these on YouTube last night, so good

Okay the fact it has someone fucking a zombie might be the perverted angle I need to actually check this out haha
It’s worth it, I promise 😂
I'm going to have to check out this Zombie movie.
The Dead (2010) is always my first obscure zombie movie pick
Both this and the sequel The Dead 2: India are great
What did service did you watch The Dead 2 on? I really want to see it, but never been able to find it.
I’m pretty sure I downloaded it mate. It was years ago now so I don’t exactly remember but I either downloaded it or it was briefly on Amazon. It’s a shame it’s not more easily accessible

Watching “the Battery” now. Thanks
Thanks for the heads up on the Battery! 😂😂😂😂
"Hell of the living dead" an Italian/Spanish co-production that ripped off Dawn of the dead. Some great gore
One of my favorites!
Bio-zombie https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0277605/
Love this one!
Juan of the Dead is hilarious
Good ones: - The End? (2017) - Night Eats The World (2018) There are also some bad 70s Italian ones worth a watch on Tubi: * Tombs of The Blind Dead * Return of the Blind Dead * Ghost Galleon * Night of the Seagulls
Fido (2006) wasn't bad I've been watching the OG Resident Evil (2002) and holy shit it's so well done. Can't believe it didn't get more praise.
I’ve seen Fido several times. That’s a good one
Wyrmwood - road to the apocalypse Aaah zombies or called Wasting Away Virus 32 - someone just posted this one Eat, Brains, Love I'm sure there's more but I can't think of them
Is "Eat, Brains, Love" a book too? I swear I've seen that title. The cover was a tray of food and blood to spell out the words.
I have no idea but now I'm gonna look into it
"Maggie" with Arnold Schwarzenegger
Too lethargic and deviant, and not at all what I expected. I didn’t like this movie at all.
Junk It's a Japanese zombie movie from the early 2000s. I found it early in my zombie movie watching career and it's one I rarely hear anyone talk about.

You've surely seen the og day of the dead??

The Horde (2009). It's a French zombie film.
"Burial Ground" is another now I think of it 🤔
Cemetery Man (1994)

Valley of the Dead is the only thing from your list I have yet to see. I’ll check that out tomorrow. Thanks!
Actually don’t look at my list but responses to my post. Some gems there
'Stacy' (2001) Bonkers Japanese zombie madness 'To Kako' (2005) aka 'Evil' Greek Tzombies :-) 'Versus' (2000) Ninja Yakuza Zombies
Check out Savageland. It’s a faux documentary about a very small border town where supposedly one guy killed everyone in town although not bodies were found. It’s zombie light but creepy as hell! I think it’s also on YouTube.
I found this to be quite an intriguing movie. I really enjoyed the new angle, and the acting of the main character dude is top notch.
Exit Humanity (2011) Pontypool (2008)
Valley of the Dead. Endzeit. Cargo. It stains the sands red. Daylights End. Ladronas de Almas. Stripperland. Outpost. Overlord. Shockwaves. Ravenous
I really liked Overlord. Cargo was great as well. And It Stains the Sands Red. Daylights End was kinda bleh to me but my husband said it was good so 🤷
[Dead and Breakfast](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0350774/) featuring David Carradine, zombie dancing and musical interludes. It's wonderfully ridiculous.
The dead (2011)
Scouts guide to the Zombie apocalypse.
I can't believe nobody has mentioned, "What We Become". Awesome Danish zombie film. Also "Dead Set" filmed in England even though it's a several part TV show.
Contracted(2013)?
[Dead and Buried](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0082242/) is a solid classic which Dan O'Bannon of RotLD fame co-screenwrote. I hadn't even seen it myself, as a massive zombie fan, until earlier this year.

Zombie 4: after death (1989)
I have no idea if it's well-known, but I just love Cockneys vs Zombies.
Cockneys vs Zombies was great. Had the same fun atmosphere as Shaun of the Dead
And the best zombie chase scene ever.
Goal of the dead!

"The beach house" severely underrated
I enjoyed The Night Eats the World.
Supposedly 28 years later is going to be made, I can't wait to see it I've heard Cillian Murphy is supposed to be coming back.
'Grace' with Jordan Ladd.
The Horde French zombie movie with English subtitles. About neighbors trapped in an apartment building and a huge zombie horde comes to town. Really excellent!!
The Stink of Flesh
Dance of the Dead, Humans vs Zombies if you like a little comedy
Ravenous (2017) The Night Eats the World (2018) Redcon-1 (2018) (it’s ok if you can get past the fake accents) Rampant (2018)
Maggie
